Dr Young is a forensic and clinical psychologist based in the Seattle area. He has been in independent practice for 30 years. He is board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Forensic Psychology. Dr. Young conducts forensic evaluations in criminal, juvenile, and family law matters and in education law. These evaluations are focused on legal and administrative matters. he has testified in over 120 court hearings/trials. He also conducts clinical evaluations for psychiatrists, clinics and hospitals.
Dr. Young served on the clinical faculty of the Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry for nine years, and on the clinical faculty of the University of Washington School of Medicine for five years. He has published numerous clinical research and empirical articles in professional journals in psychiatry and psychology, and he published a textbook on antisocial development entitled Wayward Kids: Understanding and Treating Antisocial Youth (1999).
Dr. Young's avocation is mountaineering and nature photography. He worked for many years as a professional mountain guide, leading mountain treks and climbing expeditions in Asia, Africa, and South America. Dr. Young's photography can be found at deltonyoungphoto.com.
